From generic to targeted application

This composite example demonstrates the Jobtjek method and does not describe an identifiable user or company.

A job application being reviewed and improved

Before: a letter for any employer

Sam described herself as positive, structured and ready for a challenge. It sounded pleasant but did not explain why she fitted a project coordinator role requiring planning, supplier contact and follow-up.

The method found three connections

The advert was split into requirements. Her CV documented delivery planning and weekly stakeholder meetings. Experience with the requested finance system was not documented and was marked as a gap rather than invented.

After: relevance came first

The new opening began with delivery planning and explained how Sam created overview across colleagues and suppliers. Two relevant examples replaced a retelling of the whole CV.

A targeted application becomes stronger by choosing the right facts, not by decorating them. Requirements, evidence and gaps should remain distinct.

This article offers general application guidance. Check every fact and approve the final wording before sending it.

Connect the role with your experience

Jobtjek compares the advert, CV and application, flags gaps and helps without inventing experience.
